The only natural established on the river valley fisherman’s settlement is in Tutrakan. Architecture reserve “Fisherman’s neighborhood” is entrusted for the generations in its authentic aspect. with its inherent originality, cleanliness, national revival spirit. It reminds of a living legend for its oldest means of living of our ancestors with the fishing-net, boatman’s workers and fisherman’s houses. “Fisherman’s neighborhood” is located in the north-east part of Tutrakan. It’s a memorial of culture with national meaning and high status of authenticity. There are 48 buildings – memorials of culture, located in the complex. The object is from the age of Regeneration and it arises in the middle of XIX century. A detailed overbuild plan form the National institute of memorials, which permits the beginning of construction restoration of the houses in the reserve, is made in 1990. Two houses are completely finished and their authenticity is kept to a certain degree. There is a ready project for a third house. The accessibility to the architecture reserve is very good but it needs continuing of the consignment-restorational works and buildings as well as construction of the infrastructure. The complex has a hotel “Fisherman’s house” and a tavern “Fisherman’s” which, combined with the natural resources of the municipality, can be turned into tourist attraction for people with nature-tourist and culture interests, and it can give the opportunity for relaxation and recreation. |
